Reshaping the Lives of the Underserved Youth and Adults

Create a better environment for the less fortunate children and adults with us at Delta Care Hope Foundation. We offer a variety of programs to nurture the talents and knowledge of families and individuals in the Mississippi Delta area.

Summer Enrichment Program

The vision for our summer enrichment program is that every child is afforded the opportunity to optimize learning and hone their skills in a safe and positive environment. We achieve this by giving them access to innovative educational opportunities.


We target male and female children and youth who are in the pre-K through grade 12 levels. The goal is to enroll 50 students who are in need of our services to enhance their vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Our program aims to help students:

  • Foster Vocabulary Development
  • Gain an Appreciation for Literature
  • Improve Reading Comprehension Skills
  • Reduce Dropout Rates
  • Minimize the Loss of Knowledge

The Summer Enrichment camp will be conducted from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. No fee is required for our services.

After School Program 

The primary purpose of the Program is to design, establish and maintain a continuum of community-based initiatives and school improvement programs in the Sunflower County of Mississippi, to facilitate rural residents' successful development from cradle to college and careers. Recognizing that such collaborative efforts shall promote economic cooperation and appropriate utilization of resources, and also improve access to needed healthcare services, education and training. The Delta Hope Care (DCH) Afterschool Program’s vision is that every child is afforded the opportunity to optimize learning and increase their skills in a positive and safe environment through access to innovative educational opportunities. DCH targets children and youth from K through 9th grade (both female and male). Targeted students consist of those who attend Sunflower County School District, underprivileged and are in the need of services to enhance their vocabulary, reading, and math skills. Students also receive assistance with homework assignments and are provided with a nutritional meal.

Mentoring Program

The program is designed to empower participants by starting where the individual is in life, mentoring the youth, adults, and families on an individual or group level. We will provide the necessary tools that enable the mentees to accomplish or exceed their life’s goals and ambitions, such as coaching and support in the following areas:

  • Sharing Knowledge and Life Experiences
  • Providing Guidance and Advice on Professional Development
  • Listening and Addressing Concerns
  • Offer Encouragement and Providing Motivation
  • Exploring Different Careers
  • Discussing Goals
  • Discussing Budgets
  • Discussing, Referring, or Linking to Community Resources

Childcare

The childcare program focuses on kindergarten readiness, physical development and health, social and emotional development,

science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM), and language development.


We provide $0 cost early learning services, safe and nurturing environments, family engagement activities, highly trained staff, evidence-based curriculum, nutritious meals and snacks.

Empowering Day Center Adult Day Care

Empowering Day Center offers a community-based program that provides supervision and assistance to impaired adults when it comes to activities of daily living. The program is designed to provide care and companionship for persons 60 years of age or older as well as functionally impaired adults 21 years of age or older.


We provide the following:

  • Social Activities (Arts and Crafts, Social Bingo, and Other Games and Activities)
  • Recreational Activities (Monthly Field Trips and More)
  • Daily Nutritious Meal Preparation (Breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks)
  • Transportation
  • Personal Care
  • Therapeutic Activities (e.g. Daily Exercises)

Accepted Programs: Medicaid Waiver and Private Pay

Adult Literacy

Adult literacy program assist adults in

becoming  literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for everyday communication.
